57-ACRE PARK PLANS
Great News! The Phase I development plan is in for the 57-acre park to be located to the west of the railroad tracks near
the high school. Phase I will include 4 full-size baseball fields, 2 softball fields, and 2-3 full-size soccer fields.
All fields at this complex will be lighted fields. The plans include a concession stand, restroom facilities and storage
space. This complex is scheduled for completion in the fall/winter of 2009 and will be available for spring baseball of 2010.
We will keep you posted on the progress of this development and will provide the layout and design of the complex as these
items become available. Thank you for all the efforts and support in helpling us stress our town's need for these baseball
fields.
In addition, improvements to our current fields will soon begin. The improvements include covering for bleachers at the
downtown fields, fencing and regrading of Rucker North field, and regrading of Rucker South field. |

MISSION STATEMENT
As stated in our bylaws, our purpose is to: |

"...create and maintain an athletic program for the youth of Prosper. The organization will instill in the youth of the community the
ideas of fair play, sportsmanship, honesty, and leadership through fellowship. The PSA will provide a program molded to develop athletic skills
and create a spirit of healthy competition, stressing teamwork and individual sacrifice. At all times, the interests of participation will remain
paramount in any undertaking of the organization". |
Our highest priority is to make participation in Prosper team sports a positive experience for the youth, parents and coaches in our community.

PSA POSITIONS OPEN
Secretary. Our secretary's term has come to an end, so we are searching for a secretary for the PSA Board.
This person would be responsible for attending the monthly meetings, voting on board issues and taking
and posting the monthly board minutes.
Vice-President. Our vice-president's term has come to an end, so we are searching for a vice-president for the PSA Board.
This person would be responsible for assisting the board president.
Softball Commissioner. We are looking for an enthusiastic and energenic individual with
organizational skills and a commitment to the youth of our community. The softball commissioner would be
responsible for the Prosper softball program (forming teams, scheduling games, etc.).
