2008 BASEBALL SEASON UNDERWAY!
The 2008 PSA baseball season is here. Prosper teams compete in District 1B under
Dixie Youth Baseball rules against teams from Celina, Gunter, Pilot Point, and Tioga. We are experiencing rapid
growth in participation numbers and are in constant need of coaches and volunteers. Please consider volunteering
your time and energy for the youth of our area.
Thank you to all those that assisted in putting this event together and to all those that attended.
GAME RESCHEDULING POLICY
Even the best of baseball game schedules are likely to be affected on occasion by our North Texas weather. As a policy, the PSA will
make every effort to reschedule games as needed. As an organization, we have a minimum number of games that we intend to provide our teams.
The T-Ball division teams will play in at least 10 games, and the other divisions will participate in at least 12 games during the season.
These minimums are determined by PSA and exceed those minimum limits under Dixie rules. Original game schedules for teams contain 1-2 extra
games to provide players as many games as possible. This does not include any additional tournaments provided by the league.
Games canceled due to weather or field conditions will be rescheduled at a later date. Any need for cancellation of a rescheduled
game due to weather or field conditions will not be rescheduled. Games are considered regulation games if 4 innings have been completed and
the game is called due to weather or field conditions.
Baseball commissioners from the participating towns will make every effort to coordinate game reschedulings in a timely manner and provide as
many games as possible for the participating teams.
